My Story

Hello, I am Tejal Rathi, a fashion designer driven by the purpose of making fashion more thoughtful, inclusive, emotionally resonant, and socially conscious. With an MA in Fashion Design from Istituto Marangoni, my work focuses on solving design problems through material innovation and emotional storytelling. 

My journey began with a deep interest in surface development and textile detailing, which later expanded into exploring upcycling as a way to challenge waste and create with purpose. I’m drawn to garments that hold emotion — ones that speak to the subconscious. Through techniques like subconscious draping and deconstructed silhouettes, I experiment with form and instinct, using fashion as a medium to express what's often unseen or felt rather than said.

With a strong foundation in surface techniques, textile exploration, and visual storytelling, I bring a multidisciplinary perspective to my designs. This website is a space to explore my work, my process, and the ongoing conversation between fashion and feeling.
